Would you tell us about yourself?
Hello friends! I'm Adriana, 49 years old, from Brazil. I work with disabled people in a Rehabilitation Center, and I'm glad to be here sharing my experiencies with you!
How did you start running?
I started running in 2012. While my husband was playing tennis, I used to spend my time running in the track nearby.
Do you run alone, mostly, or with a club or group?
I always run alone or with my husband.
How has running changed you?
In so many ways! I lost weight (not much), gained physical conditioning and discipline. But, most of all, I earned lots of friends around the world!!!!
Do you remember the first moment you felt “like a runner”?
Yes! It was in my first official street running. As I could run without stopping, I felt this wonderful sensation!
Where is your most memorable running route or place would like share with us?
It was my first half marathon, in Rio de Janeiro, year 2015. This route is absolutely gorgeous!
What is your favourite distance?
My favorite distance is 21k.
Would you share us a interesting running story?
In 2016, I was back to Rio to run the half marathon again. Inside the tunnel, a man started to feel bad and lost consciousness. I'm a heathcare provider by The American Heart Association, but (thank God), a doctor was running with this man, and provided all the assistance to him. But this event felt me think how dangerous is to be in a race alone, without any identification! Today I always use a bracelet with those data.
What is your running motivation right now?
Various! mostly, continue being healthy and motivating other people.
If we would like you to us one word or one sentence to represent your style, what would it be?
"Alis volat propiis" - fly with your own wings (latin)
Running with music: Yes or no? if yes, would you share us one of your favorite running track?
Yes, I prefer to run with music, though that"s no more essencial. I like to hear reggae music while running. But I also like rock.
What is your recipes for fitness?
To get focused, do each and every train your coach indicates, eat healthy and sleep well.
If you have a chance to design your own running appeals, what colour and pattern would you want to represent your running style?
I love paisley patterns in shades of rose and purple.
